Thank you to everyone who helps make Sunday mornings so welcoming by serving as ushers, greeters, communion attendants, and through fellowship. You truly help make St. John’s feel like home for both guests and members. To make serving easier and more sustainable, we’re making a small change to our schedule. Unless you’ve shared otherwise, everyone who is signed up to serve will now be scheduled one Sunday per month. If you’d like to serve more often, or if there are other roles you’d enjoy helping with, please let us know—we’d love to have you! Questions? We all carry more beneath the surface than we let on: old wounds, buried emotions, and parts of ourselves we've never invited God into. In Beneath The Surface, we will explore the deep connection between emotional health and spiritual maturity—because the truth is, we can't be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally stuck. Guided by Scripture and insights from Pete Scazzero's book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, we'll learn to slow down, look within, and let God transform not just what we believe but how we actually live and love. Join us this summer as we discover that the path to a deeper life with God runs straight through the heart.

Reading is simply better together! Join us in Pastor Eric’s backyard this summer to experience community through monthly book groups! Read on your own and then join us each month to share insights, questions, and conversation.

Outdoor Worship is BACK this summer—once a month at the Sunset Park Bandshell at 10:00 a.m.! Come enjoy worship in the beauty of God's creation with special event Sundays all summer long. June 21 is Father's Day featuring Touch-a-Truck with hot dogs and brats. July 19 is Pet Blessing Sunday with Lakeland Animal Shelter. August 16 wraps up the summer with a churchwide picnic and baptisms. Just bring a lawn chair, your Bible, and a friend, and join us at the park! (Note: 8:30 a.m. Traditional Worship will continue to be held indoors and online.)

Never been baptized? Or maybe you were baptized long ago and feel led to remember the promises made on that day? We will be celebrating baptisms and affirmations of baptism on Sunday, August 16 as part of the Annual Church Picnic & Worship Service at Sunset Park. If you are interested in baptism, please fill out our baptism form and contact Pastors Tom or Eric with any questions.

All interested singers are invited to join the St. John's choir. Rehearsals will be every third Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. We will be singing at one Traditional Service per month. Contact Jennifer Remus at mremus1980@gmail.com for more information. Hope to see you there!

Join us for a one-day volunteer event to help get the church ready for our Fall programs! We need help cleaning, organizing storage areas, and setting up furniture in our newly renovated Fellowship Hall. Food and coffee will be provided. Bring yourself, any interested friends and family, and a can-do attitude!

Join us for a Kenya-inspired worship service at St. John's on Sunday, August 23, at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. as we welcome the Okoth family from Good News Kenya! Afterward, we'll host an informal info session following the 10:00 a.m. service for anyone interested in learning more about our next Kenya mission team, scheduled for Summer 2028. Join us and bring a friend!

St. John’s Church is leading the worship service at the Walworth County Fair, with a message featuring Pastor Eric and Mya Haskins! Join us at the Park Stage as we welcome people from throughout the region to worship together at the largest county fair in Wisconsin.

We're excited to welcome all children birth through 8th grade back to St. John's KIDS! & KIDS! jr. as we kick off another amazing year of children's ministry! Check-in begins at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, with weekly programming taking place from 10:00–11:00 a.m. in the lower level. We can't wait to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new families, and grow together in faith throughout the school year. Afterwards, join us for a special Back-to-School Family Prayer Experience so we can begin this school year by covering our students, teachers, and families in prayer, trusting God to guide, strengthen, and encourage them in the year ahead. The Fellowship Team will also be providing Walking Tacos for everyone for lunch. We hope you'll stay, enjoy a meal together, and celebrate the start of a new school year with our church family!

Never read the Bible? Curious how different parts connect to the greater narrative and how they relate to our lives today? Join Pastor Tom on Tuesdays September - May at 9:00 a.m. at St. John's as we take a deeper dive into the Bible and the past week's sermon. All are welcome, including those who have not been part of our Tuesday morning Bible study in the past.
