New Year, New Perspective | Join us Sunday, January 6 as we kick off our new series New Year, New Perspective (groups launch January 13). In this short yet powerful letter, the Apostle Paul teaches us how Jesus changes every corner and crevice of our lives. Forgiveness, unity, peace, better relationships with our spouses, children and coworkers, and the source of true power are all looked at through the lens of Jesus. Start the new year off right, join us for worship and consider checking out a group!
Ash Wednesday is March 6 at 6:30pm | Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Join us for one of the most powerful services of the year as we confess our sins and watch them burn in the shadow of the cross. All ages encouraged to attend, nursery available, and soup dinner at 5:00pm.
“No Wonder They Crucified Him”, Lent 2019 | What did Jesus say and do that was so scandalous that it led to his brutal murder on a cross? What were His last words? And why did it He do it? Join us on Sundays and Wednesdays for the season of Lent, the 40 days (plus Sundays) leading to Easter. In addition to Sunday mornings, we invite all ages to join us on Wednesday evenings for a Soup Supper (served 5:00-6:30pm), followed by Worship+Groups (for all ages) at 6:30pm. Who We Are

St. John’s is a growing, multi-generational family of faith committed to our mission to love God and love others in a way that brings HOPE to the world.
We gather in our historic church building, originally built in 1898 and renovated in 2016, located in downtown Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Worship is on Sundays at 8:00 (traditional), 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. (contemporary). Each service is unique, representing a format that is both “rooted and relevant”.
Nursery is available at 9:15 & 10:45 a.m., and St. John’s Kids! meet during the 9:15am service (though kids are always welcome at any of our services).

St. John’s Kids!

St. John’s Kids! – Sunday School – 9:15am Sundays, 4-K through 6th Grade

St. John’s Kids! is offered year-round on Sundays during the 9:15am Worship Service. Each morning begins with opening songs, games and an interactive lesson, followed by age-specific small groups that build relationships and reinforce the lesson. We follow the Orange curriculum, striving to be a partner with parents in the faith formation of each child. No need to pre-register, we’ll take care of everything when you get here!

Junior and Senior High Youth Group – Wednesday Evenings 6:30 – 8:00pm

Groups are regular gatherings of 8-20 people that meet for the simple purpose of friendship, eating and living on the mission God has called us each to be a part of together. That mission includes getting to know eachother and our neighbors, talking about what God is doing in your life and saying through His Word, and praying with one another. Think of groups not like a class or a study, but rather a family.
We also offer classes and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to grow together in our knowledge of God’s Word and enter into community with one another.

It is our goal to preach God’s Word in such a way that it is rooted in Him and relevant to us.

New Year, New Perspective | Week 4
James, the brother of Jesus, said that pure religion, good religion, is caring for widows and orphans in their distress. But you’ll never get there if your full-time job continues to be to try and earn the love of God that is already yours because of Jesus.

God has an infinite list of ways He can communicate or interact with you that goes far beyond what you and I can do with one another.
God doesn't need language to speak to your heart.  He doesn't need a booming voice.  He often speaks in a whisper.
God's voice can be heard in everything you are facing in your life right now...through the good and the bad.
