Adult Discipleship
SERVEtember | Join us for SERVEtember as we learn about the adventure found in giving our lives away so that we may find real life in Christ. Video-based small group series “ALL IN” by Mark Batterson will accompany this series, and each group will complete a service project this fall. Want to join a group? Start a group? Fall is a great time and we have several new groups forming! E-mail office@stjohnselkhorn.com for more info.
Volunteer Appreciation FIESTA! | St. John’s Council & Staff will be serving a Mexican dinner on Wednesday, October 10th at 6:30 p.m., catered & donated by Mercado America to our church family! Anyone who has volunteered for any of our many ministries is welcome. We would love to celebrate your hard work and dedication to our church. Childcare will be provided. RSVP by 10/1 at office@stjohnselkhorn.com or call 262-723-2901.
Fall Breakfast Kick Off | Join us on Sunday, September 9 for a Pancake Breakfast as we kick off Kid’s Ministry (with chocolate chip pancakes for the kids)! Then come back on Sunday, September 16, for a Burrito Breakfast! Each meal will be served anytime each Sunday from 8:15-10:30am in the Fellowship Hall. We will collect a free will donation to help Eliana Okoth, three-year-old daughter of our Kenyan missionaries Fred and Holly Okoth, with travel expenses as she travels to the United States this fall for an important surgery.

Who We Are

St. John’s is a growing, multi-generational family of faith committed to our mission to love God and love others in a way that brings HOPE to the world.
We gather in our historic church building, originally built in 1898 and renovated in 2016, located in downtown Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Worship is on Sundays at 8:00 (traditional), 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. (contemporary). Each service is unique, representing a format that is both “rooted and relevant”.
Nursery is available at 9:15 & 10:45 a.m., and St. John’s Kids! meet during the 9:15am service (though kids are always welcome at any of our services).

St. John’s Kids!

St. John’s Kids! – Sunday School – 9:15am Sundays, 4-K through 6th Grade

St. John’s Kids! is offered year-round on Sundays during the 9:15am Worship Service. Each morning begins with opening songs, games and an interactive lesson, followed by age-specific small groups that build relationships and reinforce the lesson. We follow the Orange curriculum, striving to be a partner with parents in the faith formation of each child. No need to pre-register, we’ll take care of everything when you get here!

Groups are regular gatherings of 8-20 people that meet for the simple purpose of friendship, eating and living on the mission God has called us each to be a part of together. That mission includes getting to know eachother and our neighbors, talking about what God is doing in your life and saying through His Word, and praying with one another. Think of groups not like a class or a study, but rather a family.
We also offer classes and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to grow together in our knowledge of God’s Word and enter into community with one another.

It is our goal to preach God’s Word in such a way that it is rooted in Him and relevant to us.

"Has the bottom dropped out from under you? We've all been there, and just like Joseph, we can pray two ways in those seasons: The first is to pray in the hope that God will rescue us from. Pluck us out from danger. But the second is that God will carry us through it. And the longer I live, and the more I experience “bottom dropping” moments, the more I want to trust that God will do what is best. If that means to rescue, then that’s what I want. But if it doesn’t, thy will be done."
