Real Life HEROES | Join us beginning June 3 as we kick off our Summer Series Heroes at St. John’s! Each week we will meet a different real life hero from Scripture, including Jesus, Paul, Moses, Daniel, Rahab and more! An video-based small group series based on Hebrews 11 (sometimes referred to as the Heroes of Faith) will also be available for groups meeting through the summer. Want to join a group? Start a group? Summer is a great time! E-mail office@stjohnselkhorn.com for more info.
Welcome Kristy! | Join us Wednesday, May 23 at 6:30pm for Pastor Kristy’s Installation Service! It was a cold and treacherous morning to head out, but over 55 people braved the weather to attend a special congregational meeting this afternoon and unanimously vote to welcome Kristy McChristy and her husband Ron to join us at St. John’s! Kristy will be our first ever associate pastor, the answer to a prayer we have been faithfully praying for over 18 months. Her role will include oversight of our growing children’s, youth and family ministries alongside our current staff (Cassie, Steve and Tracey are not going anywhere 😊) and amazing volunteers. She will also lead contemporary worship and serve on our pastoral team. Her start date will be May 15. Kristy comes to us after serving 18 years at Holy Cross Church in Nederland, Texas in a role that is very similar to the position she will serve in here. We praise God for this new and exciting season for our family of faith and the community God has called us to reach!
Vacation Bible CAMP! | Registration is now open as we explore an uncharted island at Shipwrecked VBC! More info online at stjohnselkhorn/vbc. Also, if you are interested in helping out right now with VBC, check out the Giving Tree located outside the church office. Donations for VBC will be collected through May 13th.

Who We Are

St. John’s is a growing, multi-generational family of faith committed to our mission to love God and love others in a way that brings HOPE to the world.
We gather in our historic church building, originally built in 1898 and renovated in 2016, located in downtown Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Worship is on Sundays at 8:00 (traditional), 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. (contemporary). Each service is unique, representing a format that is both “rooted and relevant”.
Nursery is available at 9:15 & 10:45 a.m., and St. John’s Kids! meet during the 9:15am service (though kids are always welcome at any of our services).

St. John’s Kids!

St. John’s Kids! – Sunday School – 9:15am Sundays, 4-K through 6th Grade

St. John’s Kids! is offered year-round on Sundays during the 9:15am Worship Service. Each morning begins with opening songs, games and an interactive lesson, followed by age-specific small groups that build relationships and reinforce the lesson. We follow the Orange curriculum, striving to be a partner with parents in the faith formation of each child. No need to pre-register, we’ll take care of everything when you get here!

Junior and Senior High Youth Group – Wednesday Evenings 6:30 – 8:00pm

Groups are regular gatherings of 8-20 people that meet for the simple purpose of friendship, eating and living on the mission God has called us each to be a part of together. That mission includes getting to know eachother and our neighbors, talking about what God is doing in your life and saying through His Word, and praying with one another. Think of groups not like a class or a study, but rather a family.
We also offer classes and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to grow together in our knowledge of God’s Word and enter into community with one another.

It is our goal to preach God’s Word in such a way that it is rooted in Him and relevant to us.

What Makes You Happy-The Moment-Pentecost-Confirmation
Series: Mother's Day
Imagine what God could do if each person here would be filled  with His Holy Spirit, to go out and love God and love others not just here, but everywhere we go?
Truth is...that's God's plan!  It is how He plans to save the lost and bring them home!

What Makes You Happy – Week 4 – Money
Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Solomon learns that money is not the source of happiness, but Jesus shows us how to use our money to draw us closer to Him.

And just like he gave up his life, we too must give up whatever we are holding onto that we think will earn us our salvation, that we think is  Fair , so that our hand might be open to receive so much more.
