Thanksgiving Eve Worship | Join us for worship on Wednesday, November 21 at 6:30pm for our annual Thanksgiving Eve Worship as we gather together to thank God for our many blessings. This year, we will hear testimonies from 16 year old Michael Lois who is recovering well from a recent spinal injury, and Shey and Phil Zwieg, who will be sharing the story of God’s grace in the birth of their baby girl Giuliana (who will be baptized that evening). Enjoy a spaghetti dinner beforehand served by our BLAST youth mission team (free will offering), and after the service stick around for our annual Pie Fest. Bring a pie, as all the extras will be donated to a community meal being held on Thanksgiving Day in Delavan.
Light // A Series on 1 John | “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5) Join us this Sunday for our sermon and group series, Light – A Series through 1 John. In this short and pointed letter, the Apostle John writes to bring confidence to followers of Jesus, and conviction to those who are led astray. Ever wonder where you stand with God? This short letter will show you. It is a timeless message to the church and deeply practical to all who desire to walk in the light. Want to join a group? BUILDING Christmas (St. John’s KIDS Christmas Program) | Join St. John’s KIDS as we present our annual Christmas program, “Building Christmas” on Sunday, December 16 at 9:15 & 10:45am (*NOTE: No 8:00am Service this Sunday). We will use one of our favorite toys- Legos- to share the reason for the season! In the beginning, God, the master builder, made the world. This world became marred when God’s people sinned, but God had a plan to fix it. Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, whose life and death enabled God to build a new creation by saving us from our sins! Through the Scriptures, readings, skits, and music, the children will share the story of Jesus’ birth and all that Jesus means to us. This program will make the message of Christmas relevant to today’s modern family. No matter how dark our world may be, there is still a star shining bright to light our way back to Christ.
Check Out Walworth County Lights! | St. John’s family members Josh and Andrea Worley are once again putting on an all-out, musically synchronized Christmas light show! Check out this free show beginning the Sunday after Thanksgiving (November 25) in the evenings just north of Elkhorn in the neighborhood on the corner of County Road A and Highway 67 (N6916 Northwood Dr, Elkhorn, WI 53121). Shows are ongoing once it gets dark and can be enjoyed in the comfort of your car by tuning in on the radio. St. John’s Kids and Youth will have a box for prayer requests on site, donations for local “heroes” throughout our community (optional) will be collected, and Pastor Tom will even share a short message about the HOPE of Christmas during the recorded introduction of each show!
Christmas Eve Worship at St. John’s | Join us for Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship at St. John’s! We will hold three identical services: Sunday, December 23 at 10:00am and Monday, December 24 at 4:00 & 6:00pm. Each service is family-friendly, includes a hot cocoa bar, and will offer a special gift for every child!

Who We Are

St. John’s is a growing, multi-generational family of faith committed to our mission to love God and love others in a way that brings HOPE to the world.
We gather in our historic church building, originally built in 1898 and renovated in 2016, located in downtown Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Worship is on Sundays at 8:00 (traditional), 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. (contemporary). Each service is unique, representing a format that is both “rooted and relevant”.
Nursery is available at 9:15 & 10:45 a.m., and St. John’s Kids! meet during the 9:15am service (though kids are always welcome at any of our services).

St. John’s Kids! – Sunday School – 9:15am Sundays, 4-K through 6th Grade

St. John’s Kids! is offered year-round on Sundays during the 9:15am Worship Service. Each morning begins with opening songs, games and an interactive lesson, followed by age-specific small groups that build relationships and reinforce the lesson. We follow the Orange curriculum, striving to be a partner with parents in the faith formation of each child. No need to pre-register, we’ll take care of everything when you get here!

Groups are regular gatherings of 8-20 people that meet for the simple purpose of friendship, eating and living on the mission God has called us each to be a part of together. That mission includes getting to know eachother and our neighbors, talking about what God is doing in your life and saying through His Word, and praying with one another. Think of groups not like a class or a study, but rather a family.
We also offer classes and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to grow together in our knowledge of God’s Word and enter into community with one another.

It is our goal to preach God’s Word in such a way that it is rooted in Him and relevant to us.
