BUILDING Christmas (St. John’s KIDS Christmas Program) | Join St. John’s KIDS as we present our annual Christmas program, “Building Christmas” on Sunday, December 16 at 9:15 & 10:45am (*NOTE: No 8:00am Service this Sunday). We will use one of our favorite toys- Legos- to share the reason for the season! In the beginning, God, the master builder, made the world. This world became marred when God’s people sinned, but God had a plan to fix it. Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, whose life and death enabled God to build a new creation by saving us from our sins! Trough the Scriptures, readings, skits, and music, the children will share the story of Jesus’ birth and all that Jesus means to us. This program will make the message of Christmas relevant to today’s modern family. No matter how dark our world may be, there is still a star shining bright to light our way back to Christ.

Christmas Eve Worship at St. John’s | Join us for Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship at St. John’s! We will hold three identical services: Sunday, December 23 at 10:00am and Monday, December 24 at 4:00 & 6:00pm. Each service is family-friendly, includes a hot cocoa bar, and will offer a special gift for every child!

Christmas Music – Advent + Christmas Eve | When Jesus was born, heaven and earth sang. Join us as we walk through the songs of Mary, Zechariah, the angels and Simeon this Advent + Christmas Eve at St. John’s!

Hot Coca Bar Beginning 12/2 | Join us once again after worship this Advent + Christmas Eve for a Hot Coca Bar! Free will offering will be collected during Advent for our youth mission trip.

Christmas Eve Choir | Join us as we sing to the newborn King! Practices are Sundays at 9:15am beginning 12/2 in the Sanctuary. The choir will sing at all Christmas Eve services. All are welcome!

Who We Are

St. John’s is a growing, multi-generational family of faith committed to our mission to love God and love others in a way that brings HOPE to the world.

We gather in our historic church building, originally built in 1898 and renovated in 2016, located in downtown Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

Worship is on Sundays at 8:00 (traditional), 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. (contemporary). Each service is unique, representing a format that is both “rooted and relevant”.

Nursery is available at 9:15 & 10:45 a.m., and St. John’s Kids! meet during the 9:15am service (though kids are always welcome at any of our services).

St. John’s Kids!

St. John’s Kids! – Sunday School – 9:15am Sundays, 4-K through 6th Grade

St. John’s Kids! is offered year-round on Sundays during the 9:15am Worship Service. Each morning begins with opening songs, games and an interactive lesson, followed by age-specific small groups that build relationships and reinforce the lesson. We follow the Orange curriculum, striving to be a partner with parents in the faith formation of each child. No need to pre-register, we’ll take care of everything when you get here!

Groups

Groups are regular gatherings of 8-20 people that meet for the simple purpose of friendship, eating and living on the mission God has called us each to be a part of together. That mission includes getting to know eachother and our neighbors, talking about what God is doing in your life and saying through His Word, and praying with one another. Think of groups not like a class or a study, but rather a family.

We also offer classes and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to grow together in our knowledge of God’s Word and enter into community with one another.

Listen

It is our goal to preach God’s Word in such a way that it is rooted in Him and relevant to us.
